Blue Hills

The Nilgiris were first settled by the British, and still retain the old charm of a bygone era.  Ooty, the centre of the Nilgiris, is a popular holiday destination for people from across the world. Because of its climate, the Nilgiris also attracts visitors from all over India who escape to the cool Blue Mountains, leaving the sweltering heat of the cities behind them.

 

Day 1- Welcome to Bangalore: The Garden City of India : Transfer to the hotel post your arrival. After you are refreshed visit the Vidhan Soudha, Lalbag and the mindblowing Botanical Garden, Vishveshwarya Museum, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, Nandi Temple and M.G. Road, renowned for silk saaris. Stay overnight in Bangalore.

 

Day 2- Mysore: The land of Kings : After breakfast, depart for Mysore. After you have freshened up in the hotel, visit local sights such as the lavish Mysore Maharaja Palace, Jag Mohan Art Gallery, and Vrindavan Gardens(known for it's musical fountains.) Stay overnight in Mysore

 

Day 3- Ooty: Heaven on Earth : You depart for Ooty, and on your way you visit Chamundi Hills and Nandi. Enjoy the many plantations of the Nilgiri Hills. Also visit the Paykara Dam and The Botanical Garden once you arrive in Ooty. Stay overnight in Ooty.

 

Day 4- Ooty: Another Day in Paradise : Visit Doddabetta, which is the highest motorable road in South India and enjoy the view from there. Also visit Cunoor, Dolphin Nose where you'll have a spectacular view of St. Katherine Falls, Lamb's Rock and Sim's Park. Overnight in Ooty.

 

Day 5- Kodai: Deep in the woods : Drive through the lush, green mountain ranges of Nilgiri as you proceed to Kodai. Spend the night in Kodai.

 

Day 6- Kodai: The Princess of the Hills : Visit local attractions such as Pillar Rock, Bryant's Park, Croakers Walk, Golf Ground, Suicide Point, Silver Cascade Falls and finally Kodai lake for boating. Spend the night in Kodai lake.

 

Day 7- Coimbatore : Depart from Kodai to Coimbatore for your return journey. Carry back awesome memories with you.
